Chargebee API

Chargebee in your business management – not just a billing system without business context.

Connecting Chargebee – Customized and Seamless

Chargebee is a platform for Subscription Management and Recurring Billing – built for companies with subscription models, recurring invoices, and usage-based billing. Companies utilize Chargebee to manage subscriptions, automatically generate invoices, collect payments, and recognize revenue. For operationally complex companies with subscription businesses, Chargebee becomes relevant when subscription data should not remain in an isolated billing system – but rather function as an integrated part of a system that connects customer management, finance, and operational processes. We integrate Chargebee into customized business software. No off-the-shelf standard integration, no plug-in with limitations – but a tailored connection that fits your processes and your system precisely.

What We Integrate

Integration Options
🔄Automatically synchronize subscriptions, customers, and invoices with the central system
📊Represent MRR, Churn Rate, Customer Lifetime Value, and Revenue metrics in overall reporting
📄Automatically generate and archive invoices, credits, and dunning notices
Event-driven workflows – e.g., initiate a retention workflow upon subscription cancellation, trigger escalation on payment failure
🔗Bidirectional data exchange between Chargebee, ERP, CRM, accounting, and other systems

How the Integration Works

We work directly with the Chargebee REST API v2 and the webhook system. The connection is developed as a fixed part of your Operating System – no third-party middleware, no workarounds. What this means in practice:

🏗️Customized connection – built for your processes, not for the average user
🔄Automatic data flow – no manual invoice exports or subscription reconciliations
🗄️A single data source – Chargebee data flows into your central system
🛡️Secure and GDPR-compliant – PCI compliant, encrypted, and documented

Typical Use Case

A SaaS company with 40 employees manages 1,500 customer subscriptions in Chargebee. The billing works – but the connection to the rest is manual. Cancellations are communicated to the Customer Success Manager via email, often too late. Invoices are exported monthly via CSV. Sales cannot see in the CRM whether a customer pays on time. Revenue metrics exist only in the Chargebee dashboard.

With the integration, subscription data flows automatically into the Operating System. When a customer cancels, a retention workflow with customer history and reason for cancellation is immediately launched. Payment failures update the CRM status and trigger the dunning process. Invoice data flows into accounting. MRR, churn, and customer lifetime value are visible in the central dashboard – alongside product usage and support tickets. The subscription business shifts from an isolated billing topic to an integrated management metric.

Part of Your Operating System

Chargebee is a powerful platform for Subscription Billing and Revenue Management. But when used in isolation, it remains a billing system separate from the rest of the company. Only as part of an integrated system does Chargebee reach its full potential – when subscription events trigger operational processes, revenue metrics are integrated into overall management, and the subscription business is not managed separately from the company, but within it. We develop AI-powered Operating Systems for operationally complex companies. The Chargebee integration is one building block of this.
