DocuSign API

DocuSign as part of your operational system – not as a standalone solution.

Connecting DocuSign – Customized and Seamless

DocuSign is the world’s leading platform for electronic signatures and digital contract management. Companies use DocuSign to securely sign contracts, approvals, orders, and other documents digitally – without printing, scanning, or mailing. For operationally complex companies, DocuSign is relevant because signature processes rarely occur in isolation – they are part of order approvals, client onboarding, procurement processes, or personnel workflows that trigger subsequent processes within the company. We integrate DocuSign into custom corporate software. No off-the-shelf standard connection, no plug-in with limitations – but a tailored integration that perfectly fits your processes and system.

What We Integrate

Integration Options
🔄Automatically send documents for signature from the system
📊Track signature status in real-time – directly in the central system, not in the DocuSign backend
📄Automatically archive signed documents and associate them with the correct process
Event-driven workflows via DocuSign Connect Webhooks – e.g., on signature, rejection, or deadline expiration
🔗Bidirectional data exchange between DocuSign, ERP, CRM, DMS, and other systems

How the Integration Works

We work directly with the DocuSign eSignature REST API and DocuSign Connect. The integration is developed as an integral part of your Operating System – no third-party middleware, no workaround. What this means concretely:

🏗️Customized connection – built for your processes, not for the average user
🔄Automatic data flow – no manual uploading or downloading of documents
🗄️A unified data foundation – signature status and documents flow into your central system
🛡️Secure and GDPR-compliant – certified electronic signature, encrypted and documented

Typical Use Case

A project service provider with 70 employees sends out dozens of contracts weekly – framework agreements, individual orders, amendments, approvals. DocuSign is in use and works well for the signatures themselves. However, the surrounding process is manual: an employee creates the contract in the internal system, exports it as a PDF, uploads it to DocuSign, adds the recipients, and sends it out. When the signature comes in, someone needs to download the document, file it in the DMS, update the status in the ERP, and trigger the next process step – project setup, resource planning, invoice preparation. Missed deadlines are often only noticed days later. With the integration, the entire signature process becomes a seamless part of the Operating System. The system generates the contract, fills in the correct data, and sends it via DocuSign – without manual export. The signature status is visible in real time in the system. Once signed, the system automatically archives the document, updates the order status, and initiates subsequent processes – project setup, resource assignment, welcome email to the client. When a deadline is approaching, the system escalates automatically. From contract draft to active project – a continuous process without media disruption.

Part of Your Operating System

DocuSign is the standard for digital signatures – legally binding, fast, and widely used. But when used in isolation, it remains a tool for signing, creating manual work before and after. Only as part of an integrated system does DocuSign realize its full potential – when contracts are automatically created and sent, signatures trigger subsequent processes, and the entire document flow converges in a single source of truth. We develop AI-powered Operating Systems for operationally complex companies. The DocuSign integration is one of the building blocks.
