DAT API

DAT in your vehicle process – not as a reference work, the results of which are manually typed in.

Connect DAT API – Customized and Seamless

The DAT (Deutsche Automobil Treuhand) is the leading provider of vehicle data in Germany – vehicle valuations, damage calculations, repair cost estimates, vehicle classes, and equipment coding. Automotive businesses, insurance companies, leasing firms, and fleet operators utilize DAT data as an industry standard. For operationally complex companies in the automotive sector, DAT integration is relevant because vehicle data plays a role in almost every business process – and its manual querying is a daily time drain. We integrate the DAT API into customized enterprise software. No pre-made standard connection, no plug-in with limitations – instead, a tailored integration that fits precisely with your processes and your system.

What We Connect

Integration Options
🔄Automatically retrieve vehicle valuations – dealer purchase, sales, and market values
📊Provide vehicle classes, equipment coding, and vehicle history in the central system
📄Embed damage calculations and repair cost estimates directly into processes
Event-driven workflows – e.g. automatically create a valuation upon vehicle receipt, start calculation upon damage report
🔗Bidirectional data exchange between DAT, DMS, workshop software, insurance, and other systems

How Integration Works

We work directly with the DAT Web Services – SilverDAT, VINquery, damage calculations, and other endpoints. The integration is developed as a core part of your Operating System – no third-party middleware, no workaround. What this means in concrete terms:

🏗️Customized connection – built for your processes, not for the average
🔄Automatic data flow – no manual DAT queries or value transfers
🗄️A single data source – DAT vehicle data flows into your central system
🛡️Secure and GDPR-compliant – licensed, encrypted, and documented

Typical Use Case

A car dealership with 45 employees assesses 25 used vehicles weekly and creates 80 damage calculations monthly. Until now, an employee logs into SilverDAT, generates the valuation, and manually transfers the results into the DMS. In damage calculations, data is copied back and forth by hand. Transfer errors cost money and trust.

With the integration, the Operating System automatically retrieves DAT data. Using the VIN number, market value, equipment, and vehicle class flow directly into the purchasing process. Upon a damage report, the system automatically initiates the calculation and provides the result to the customer advisor and the insurance company. No double entries, no transfer errors, no waiting times.

Part of Your Operating System

The DAT is the industry standard for vehicle valuation in Germany. But used in isolation, it remains a querying tool next to the DMS. Only as part of an integrated system does the DAT realize its full potential – when valuations automatically flow into processes and vehicle data is available in the system. We develop AI-powered Operating Systems for operationally complex companies. The DAT integration is one building block of this.
